Your privacy
I am Abhijit Chatterjee Chattopadhyay. I run The Logic Atelier from Dubai as a one-person practice, so when you send me something, it comes to me.

I will never sell your details, for any reason, and I never send spam.
This page says exactly what I collect, why, how long I hold it, and how to get it back or get rid of it. If anything here is unclear, ask me and I will fix the wording.
1. When you send me an enquiry
What I collect: your name, your company, your email address, the budget range you picked, the kind of engagement you picked, and whatever you write in the message box.
Why: to read your enquiry and reply to it. Nothing else.
Who else sees it: the form is handled by Formspree, which passes it to my inbox and keeps a copy in my Formspree account. They process it on my behalf and do not use it for anything of their own.
How long I keep it: while there is a live conversation between us. If no work follows, I delete it, in my email and in Formspree, within 12 months. If you tell me to delete it sooner, I delete it.
2. When you sign up for new articles
What I collect: your name, your email address and your phone number. All three are required.
Why each one: your name so I can greet you properly, your email so I can send you new articles, and your phone number so I can reach you directly about my work.
Who holds it: I do, in my own newsletter system running on Fly.io in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The emails themselves go out through Resend.
How long I keep it: if you do not confirm your email within 7 days, I delete the sign-up. If you unsubscribe, I delete your details 30 days later. Those two numbers are enforced by the software, not by me remembering.
Tracking in the emails: my newsletter emails contain a small image and wrapped links, so I can see how many people open an email and how many click, in total rather than by name.
Your own controls: every email I send has an unsubscribe link and a preferences link. From the preferences page you can email yourself a copy of everything I hold about you, or delete it outright, without asking me.
3. What I never do with any of it
I do not sell your details. I do not rent, swap or trade them. I do not hand them to anyone who wants to advertise to you, and I do not build profiles to sell to anyone else. Selling data is not part of what this practice does, and it never will be. The only people who touch your details are me and the services listed on this page, which run the site, the forms and the email for me.
4. When you book the assessment
I use Calendly for booking. The booking panel loads from Calendly only when you open it, so nothing reaches them if you never book. When you do book, Calendly takes your name, your email address and anything else you type into their form, and shows it to me. Their own privacy terms cover what they do with it.
5. When you just read the site
Nothing, until you say so. Reading this site talks to no one but me and my host, GitHub Pages, which serves every page. The typefaces are served from this site, not from Google, and no analytics, advertising or tracking script loads before you choose.
Analytics, only if you accept. I use Google Analytics to see which pages people read. It sets cookies, so it runs only after you accept it in the banner. Until you choose, it does not run, and if you decline it never loads: nothing about your visit reaches Google Analytics. You can change your mind at any time through Cookie settings at the foot of any page. When it does run, it tells me which pages were read, roughly where in the world the reader was, and the kind of device and browser they used. It does not tell me who you are, and I never try to work that out. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, I take that as a no and do not ask. If you accept and later decline, I delete the analytics cookies straight away. Google Analytics keeps the data about visits for 2 months, and the data that links visits from the same browser for 14 months.
Two things kept on your device. Your cookie choice, which I ask again about after six months, and which reading of the site you chose, Visionary or Engineering, so it opens the way you left it. Both stay in your browser, and neither tells me anything.
6. What you can ask me for
Write to hello@thelogicatelier.com and I will:
- send you a copy of everything I hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete it, all of it, if that is what you want
- stop emailing you, which the unsubscribe link also does on its own
I answer these myself and I aim to do it within 48 hours. I will not ask you why.
7. Which law applies
I am based in Dubai, so the United Arab Emirates' Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) applies to what I hold. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom when you write to me, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies as well, and you keep every right it gives you, including the right to complain to your own data-protection authority. My legal basis is simple: I hold your enquiry because you sent it to me, and I hold your sign-up because you confirmed it by email.
8. If this page changes
I will change the date at the top. If a change actually affects you, such as a new service holding your details, I will say so in the next email rather than leave you to spot it.
